Annie Kerr Arrested after DUI Crash on West Market Street [Salinas, CA] 33-Year-Old Man Dies after DUI Accident on Villa StreetSALINAS, CA (April 3, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, authorities arrested Annie Kerr following a fatal DUI crash on West Market Street.The incident happened on March 26th, at around 2:00 p.m., near the intersection of West Market Street and Villa Street.According to reports, 32-year-old Kerr was traveling eastbound on West Market with her small SUV when she collided head-on with a vehicle with three male occupants.As a result, one man died and the two occupants suffered injuries with a 31-year-old man left in critical condition. Additionally, the 32-year-old man suffered minor injuries and has been released from the hospital. No further information on regarding the condition of the injured men are available.Investigation showed that Kerr was driving twice the speed limit. Santa Clara County records first official death from xylazine The February death of a man in San Jose has been confirmed to be Santa Clara County’s first recorded xylazine-related death, according to the SCC Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office.Authorities said the man who died was a 36-year-old; they did not identify him in a county news release sent Monday morning. The man was found unresponsive in San Jose and died in late February and the xylazine and fentanyl were found in his bloodstream through postmortem toxicology testing, according to the release.Xylazine, also known by the street name “Tranq,” is a drug intended as a sedative tranquilizer for large animals like horses and cattle, according to the news release.
