MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Gov. Tim Walz on Wednesday promoted Natalie Hudson to be chief justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, making her the first Black person to lead it.Hudson was appointed associate justice in 2015 by then-Gov. Mark Dayton, after serving as a judge on the Minnesota Court of Appeals for 13 years. CHICAGO -- A 2-11 fire has been called at a supermarket in Chicago's Chinatown Wednesday morning.Fire crews are on scene near the 2100 block of Archer Avenue at Park to Shop Supermarket in the city's Chinatown neighborhood.The supermarket has live food and has partially two levels. Fire crews are having issues with the fire due to the building being completely concrete. HUNTER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A 26-year-old was rescued after being stuck in a crevasse in the water in Moore's Bridge Falls. The rescue happened around 6 p.m. on Saturday. A man is dead after an Aurora police officer shot and killed him after the man allegedly produced a firearm during a confrontation with another person at a bus stop.The shooting happened just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aurora Police Chief Art Acevedo said in a news conference, at the bus stop near Colfax Avenue and Havana Street. Two officers were monitoring activity at the bus stop and noticed the man get into a confrontation with another person and produce a firearm, Acevedo said.Once the man showed the firearm, which appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun, the officers engaged with the man. He began running away, Acevedo said, and the officers began yelling commands to drop his weapon and raise his hands.One of the officers then fired shots and hit the man.
